Filtering in the UI the relevant storage classes can be even more helpful here. Filtering could cause an empty list of storage classes, which would cause additional issues. please take a look at the PR, I added alerts Avital and Ilanit hi, Do we have documentation of supported storage class for oVirt and vmWare imported virtual machines ? Can we know what are the supported classes available in our cluster for each case ? The supported storage is documented: https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.7/virt/virtual_machines/importing_vms/virt-importing-vmware-vm.html https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.7/virt/virtual_machines/importing_vms/virt-importing-rhv-vm.html Gilad, looking at the doc, the allowed Storage Classes are not named NFS and ceph-rbd, this names are just examples of Storage Classes that fit the OpenShift Virtualization storage feature matrix I think the most helpful tooltip we can give is saying: "The following table describes the OpenShift Virtualization storage types that support VM import(^ link to the documentation Avital provided)" Bug cannot be verified since this bug is blocking the ability to see the related screens in the OCP console: Bug 1974297 - [v2v][VM import from VMware dialog via UI] VMs list is not loaded I was able to test it for VM import from RHV, and the notification is there, as expected, however it directs to VMware documentation instead of RHV documentation. Filed Bug 1976582 - [UI][VM import from RHV] Supported Storage message link directs to Import from VMware document Moving back to assigned based on previous comment and that Bug 1976582 won't make it to OCP-4.8.0. moving to modified: https://github.com/openshift/console/pull/8610 should be in 4.8.z If this needs a backport please move back to assign This is an RFE to a feature that is detracted, closing because of capacity and priority. commenting for redundant needinfo |
