Description of problem: Creation of a new wireless network via NM should not have a 'connect' button in order to implement, nor should it tell you that it's trying to join a network. It's _creating_ it, not connecting to one. Something like a "create" button, and saying that it's trying to create, not join, a wireless network when one hovers over the icon, would be better. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): NetworkManager-0.6.0-3 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Obtain a machine with wireless and FC5 Gold on it, and start NetworkManager 2. Left click on the NM icon, and pick Create New Wireless Network. Actual results: Gives you a dialog with the 'create this' button being called 'connect', and when you click it, and hover over the icon, it says that it's trying to join the null network. Expected results: Gives you a dialog with the button being called "Create", instead of "Connect", and the message should say it's trying to create the network whose name you specified in the dialog (ie, not null!). Additional info: The 'null' part may be because this network card can't do this...
Fedora Core 5 is no longer maintained. Is this bug still present in Fedora 7 or Fedora 8?

This bug is open for a Fedora version that is no longer maintained and will not be fixed by Fedora. Therefore we are closing this bug. NM still has 'connect' as the 'ok' option when creating a new network, and still claims to be trying to connect to a network, in F9.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 9 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 9.
