oVirt gerrit 111404 0 master MERGED webadmin: Hide instance images for clone vm 2020-11-05 15:49:17 UTC

Description Tamir 2020-08-04 14:17:28 UTC
Created attachment 1710343 [details]
Added zip wit logs and image

Description of problem:

After I created a VM with a disk, I tried to clone it and in the clone modal, I tried removing the disk. The remove modal that opened was empty besides an orange rectangle inside with no buttons or text in it.

The only option to exit this state is refreshing the page.

Adding image and ui.log.
There wasn't anything in the engine.log related to the bug, so I will not attach it.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHV 4.4.1-12 (on both engine and host on RHEL 8.2.1)

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a 4.4 data center, cluster.
2. Add a host and data domain.
3. Create a VM with a virtual disk.
4. Select the VM and Open the clone VM modal.
5. Click on the '-' icon (remove) near the existing virtual disk.

Actual results:
1. The 4.4 data center and cluster were created.
2. The host and the data domain were added.
3. The VM was created.
4. The clone VM modal was opened.
5. The "Remove disk(s)" modal was opened empty (besides a orange rectangle with a warning icon) with no way of closing it without refreshing the page.

Image and log attached in a zip

Expected results:
Steps 1-4 as expected.
In step 5, I expect the remove disk modal to be exactly as in edit VM (with text and buttons of Ok and Cancel)

Additional info:

Comment 1 Lucia Jelinkova 2020-09-22 13:21:20 UTC
The instance images on the General tab of the Clone VM dialog was not supposed to be visible at all. User should use Resources tab to modify the disks properties.

Comment 2 Tamir 2020-10-04 08:34:19 UTC
Verified on RHV 4.4.3-3. All looks good to me.

Env:
  - Engine instance with RHV 4.4.3-7 (ovirt-engine-4.4.3.5-0.5.el8ev) and RHEL 8.3 installed.
  - 3 hosts with RHV 4.4.3-7 and RHEL 8.3, vdsm-4.40.32-1.el8ev

Steps:

In Admin Portal:

1. Create a 4.4 data center, cluster.
2. Add a host and data domain.
3. Create a VM with a virtual disk.
4. Select the VM and Open the clone VM modal.
5. Check that the instance images doesn't exist in the clone VM modal.

Results (As Expected):
1. The 4.4 data center and cluster were created.
2. The host and the data domain were added.
3. The VM was created.
4. The clone VM modal was opened.
5. The instance images doesn't exist in the clone VM modal.
