Description Harish NV Rao 2020-08-05 10:59:04 UTC
Description of problem:

The users are told to create a “storage cluster” but the button says “create OCS service” and the page title is OCS service as well. Need consistency in the naming.

UX issue severity level: 2-High (refer below mentioned doc for severity levels)

Assigning to UX, to determine the text on various buttons.

Comment 2 Yuval 2020-08-10 07:50:17 UTC
the text on the button should be just "Create Storage Cluster" and if one storage cluster is created the button should be disabled because we are not allowing to create more than one right now.
and the title of the page needs to be aligned with the Tab name. so the title should be "Storage Cluster"

Comment 3 Harish NV Rao 2020-08-24 09:57:59 UTC
Reduced the severity and changed the target release based on the discussion with UX and dev.

Comment 6 Shrivaibavi Raghaventhiran 2020-09-23 10:28:45 UTC
Version tested
OCS 4.6.0-98.ci

As mentioned above
1. The Button name is "Create Storage Cluster"
2. The Tab name says "Storage Clusters" instead of "Storage Cluster"
3. The create button is not disabled, we had existing ocs cluster and the UI allows to create one more.

From point 2nd and this might confuse the user and user can create more than one OCS on OCP,
which is currently not supported

For the above reasons I am marking this BZ as Failed QA.

The Button name is Create Storage Cluster only as seen in screenshot.
> 2. The Tab name says "Storage Clusters" instead of "Storage Cluster"
This will be storage clusters only as we are showing the list of the storage cluster.
Just think if user has created storage cluster from the CLI that also needs to be listed but as a ignored CR. Also The Type of the CR is List.

This is already defered to 4.7 as part of this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1867400

Comment 9 Nishanth Thomas 2020-09-23 12:54:29 UTC
Based on https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1866315#c8, moving it back to ON_QA, please verify

@Yuval @Shiri, are you fine with above? ^^

Comment 11 Yuval 2020-10-07 09:07:25 UTC
looks good

Comment 12 Yuval 2020-10-07 09:15:22 UTC
lets write in all places "Storage Cluster"

Comment 13 Shrivaibavi Raghaventhiran 2020-10-07 11:05:34 UTC
With respect to comment #12 moving this BZ back to Assigned.

Comment 14 Ankush Behl 2020-10-08 04:54:38 UTC
@yuval, The LIST in the OLM pages is represented as plurals so it will be Storage Clusters when we show list rather than storage cluster.

The List remains the List even there can be only one instance running at a perticular point of time all other CR will/can be ignored.
I'll like to have it the way it's repesented in OLM.

Comment 15 Yuval 2020-10-08 06:10:17 UTC
sure np
