Description Troy Dawson 2020-08-21 20:59:19 UTC
Description of problem:
dejavu-fonts fails to build on Rawhide or F33.
It is failling to build, in such a way that it doesn't trigger the normal FTBFS scripts for opening bugs.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dejavu-fonts-2.37-14.fc33 (not really applicaple)

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. fedpkg clone dejavu-fonts
2. cd dejavu-fonts
3. fedpkg build (or fedpkg build --scratch)

Actual results:
Source rpm section of build will fail with
 "Unknown tag: %fontmeta"

Expected results:
The package should build.

Additional info:
This is also happening with:
google-droid-fonts
pt-sans-fonts
senamirmir-washra-fonts
stix-fonts

Comment 2 Troy Dawson 2020-09-01 14:04:09 UTC
The strange thing about this, is that as far as I can see, the proper packages are in place for the %fontmeta variable to be visible for mock, so they should work.
It's especially frustrating that when I try to build the packages in mock, they work, but when I try on koji, they don't.
