Description of problem: On hosts with slow harddrives hosted-engine setup failes during the step "Starting grafana-server" because of timeout The step actually completes, just takes longer the first time since grafana sets up database tables. Increasing the timeout of the step works with no issues. The Setup then rolls back and exists How reproducible: 90% (My server just takes a bit longer then the timeout, sometimes it worked) Steps to Reproduce: 1. run hosted-engine --deploy Actual results: TASK [ovirt.engine-setup : Run engine-setup with answerfile] failed: Starting Grafana service [ ERROR ] Failed to start service 'grafana-server' however, systemctl status grafana server gives: Active: active (running) Expected results: No Errors Additional info:

The attached logs are not enough for making sure the problem is indeed too-slow grafana-server start. Do you still have engine machine logs from these failed attempts? On the host, at /var/log/ovirt-hosted-engine-setup/engine-logs*? If so, can you please attach (relevant parts of) them? Thanks.
