Comment 3 Piotr Kliczewski 2020-09-03 08:57:32 UTC
This bug is not SRIOV related. Here is corresponding upstream issue https://github.com/kubevirt/vm-import-operator/issues/389

Comment 4 Piotr Kliczewski 2020-09-03 08:59:03 UTC
In order to workaround the issue please change bios type setting for this specific source vm.

Comment 6 Filip Krepinsky 2020-10-26 15:42:59 UTC
I would suspect that trying to import VM with cluster default BIOS should suffice. @Piotr is there anything else to take into consideration?

Comment 7 Piotr Kliczewski 2020-10-26 15:44:49 UTC
Correct, this is exactly what was fixed.

Comment 8 Ilanit Stein 2020-10-27 09:19:05 UTC
Verified on CNV-2.5: iib-22696 hco-v2.5.0-396

Had RHEL 7 VM on RHV side, that was set to Bios "Cluster default":

<bios>
<boot_menu>
<enabled>false</enabled>
</boot_menu>
<type>cluster_default</type>
</bios>

VM import for this VM (via UI) was successful.
The controller did not crash.
