RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Bill Sanford 2020-09-11 18:53:46 UTC
Description of problem:
I was testing a new feature of LO 7 and wanted to format bullets and numbering for a list starting at a certain number.

Select a list then, Format -> Bullets and Numbering... -> Customize Tab -> I then would put in the "Start at" number and click OK and it would not change the list starting number

If I did something after that, in that Cutomize dialog box, and the Preview on the right would reflect the change, then the changes would be saved.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
LibreOffice 7.

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create or have a list of items you want to add numbering (bullets) to.
2. Select list, Format -> Bullets and Numbering... -> Customize Tab -> enter a different number in the "Start at" input box and click OK

Actual results:
The new number never gets saved.

Expected results:
The new number would be saved and applied as the new start number.

Additional info:
You can see in the preview if the number changed and if it hasn't then the OK button is not working to save the new value.

Comment 1 Caolan McNamara 2020-09-12 11:57:55 UTC
But there is no LibreOffice 7 in RHEL-8.3. Is this a problem with the LibreOffice 6.3.6 of RHEL-8.3 or only LibreOffice 7 of Fedora 33

Comment 2 Caolan McNamara 2020-09-14 13:47:50 UTC
I see it in 6-3 too. If the +/- buttons are used its ok, but direct text entered doesn't stick

Comment 3 Caolan McNamara 2020-09-14 13:57:51 UTC
my upstream fix targeting 6.4 branch: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/102678

Comment 5 Caolan McNamara 2020-11-04 11:15:48 UTC
I fixed this upstream for 6-4 and we are rebasing to 6-4 to this should be fixed with that rebase

Comment 9 Bill Sanford 2020-12-07 16:45:05 UTC
Verified with libreoffice-writer-6.4.7.2-3
