Either one would have selected the "Details" tab (default) and will need to select the "Create Instance" link in the "Storage Cluster" card; or one would need to select the "Storage Cluster" tab and then would be able to select "Create OCS Cluster Service". Please, correct to any of these. Note: if we change this here, please remember to make the same changes in LSO sections of the AWS and Vmware guides too.

Hi Agil, As discussed on call, please help with making the suggested changes and then we might be good to have a final review.
@Neha, I have incorporated changes [1] as discussed on the call . [1] https://gitlab.cee.redhat.com/red-hat-openshift-container-storage-documentation/red-hat-openshift-container-storage-4.5/-/commit/e7155b4f53b10e583dc5e7f61f2c16f73e42e7aa Preview links : https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_openshift_container_storage_in_external_mode/?lb_target=preview https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_openshift_container_storage_on_vmware_vsphere/?lb_target=preview https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_openshift_container_storage_using_amazon_web_services/?lb_target=preview https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_openshift_container_storage_using_bare_metal_infrastructure/?lb_target=preview Draft copy [2] for reference. Thanks Agil, Almost everything looks good but there is a typo in Step 1 of external mode https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_openshift_container_storage_in_external_mode/?lb_target=preview Procedure Click Opeators → Installed Operators from the OpenShift Web Console to view the installed operators typo in Operators above Also, for sub-bullets, why do we end up using this format? why not use another bullet for numbering within a bullet point? i. ii. i. <--- why dont we use something else here? ii. <--- why dont we use something else here? iii. <--- why dont we use something else here? iii.
@agantony I see we forgot to make these changes in the GCP , RHV and Azure docs. this change needs to be added to all OCS 4.5 deployment docs. Later we can think of making similar changes in 4.4 docs too. Hence, keeping the bug in Assigned state.
@Neha I have fixed all the concerns mentioned in comment #19 and comment #21. Verified the content on all the mentioned 4.5 docs. All are good except for the RHV doc which needs following changes https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_and_managing_openshift_container_storage_using_red_hat_virtualization_platform/index?lb_target=preview#creating-openshift-container-storage-cluster-on-red-hat-virtualization_rhv Change 1: a. On the Create Storage Cluster page, ensure that the following options are selected: --> Why marked as a ? It should be 7 Change 2: In the Nodes section, select at least three worker nodes from the available list of nodes for the use of OpenShift Container Storage service. Correct statement: In the Nodes section, for the use of OpenShift Container Storage service, select a minimum of three or a multiple of three worker nodes from the available list. Change 3: b. Click Create. >> It should be Step 8
@Neha I have updated the preview links with suggestions in comment #44. https://gitlab.cee.redhat.com/red-hat-openshift-container-storage-documentation/red-hat-openshift-container-storage-4.5/-/commit/814f17e2c7e0c9141f642ccc21f4c6d652cbcc0a https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openshift_container_storage/4.5/html-single/deploying_and_managing_openshift_container_storage_using_red_hat_virtualization_platform/index?lb_target=preview#creating-openshift-container-storage-cluster-on-red-hat-virtualization_rhv Thanks, Agil
Thanks Agil. Now all docs LGTM. Moving to verified. Thanks for your continued help on this BZ For 4.4 -> The current doc content in 4.4 doesn't need this change as the statements are already appropriate about the Create Storage cluster for 4.6 - >https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1895342 The common content in relevant sections of all the docs where some changes were made as discussed in the g-doc ------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Click Operators → Installed Operators from the OpenShift Web Console to view the installed operators. Ensure that the Project selected is openshift-storage. 2. On the Installed Operators page, click Openshift Container Storage. 3. On the Installed Operators → Operator Details page, perform either of the following to create a Storage Cluster Service. On the Details tab → Provided APIs → OCS Storage Cluster, click Create Instance. Alternatively, select the Storage cluster tab and click Create OCS Cluster Service. 4. On the Create Storage Cluster page, ensure that the following options are selected: In the Nodes section, for the use of OpenShift Container Storage service, select a minimum of three or a multiple of three worker nodes from the available list. 5.Click Create. NOTE The Create button is enabled only after selecting a minimum of three worker nodes. Upon successful deployment, a storage cluster with three storage devices gets created. These devices get distributed across three of the selected nodes. The configuration uses a replication factor of 3. To scale the initial cluster, see <Scaling storage nodes>.
