Guys, i think that have sense to try latest 5.10.x kernel from fedora koji https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/ maybe bug already fixed here.

This does not have to be a laptop with lid close to suspend. I have same probblem on a Ryzen 3600X machine with a Radeon graphics card. Window-Lock key sequence or timed suspend, anything that blanks the screen to save energy, the amdgpu driver goes belly up and loses itself.This also include simply turning off power to the monitor. Turn it back on and its gone. This needs to get elevated, probably one of the worse bugs I have seen with Fedora I have used for over 10 years. A patch went in and broke the driver. That should have been immediately reverted, then fixed before repatch.
This is getting worse. This is squarely an AMD DRIVER issue ... wife's laptop has AMD / NVidia and no issues. PLEASE ELEVATE THIS, BEEN DEALING WITH THIS FOR TWO YEARS OR MORE.

I will move this kernel forward step by step to narrow down where the breakage occured. There are no further bios updates that I know of for this laptop. On my desktop I updated the BIOS (Aurus X570 Elite) to version F33a which incorporated AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.2.0.0 with no other changes and the system stablized significantly. I can suspend and return to normal and turn off monitor and back on without issue. This bios just came out on January 21, 2021 so fairly recent. Kernel on this desktop is 5.10.12-200.fc33.x86_64.

I'm use kernel 5.7.0 and have no issues with suspend mode.
I made some attempts to build kernel and isolate. This failed from Torvalds repository. Fedora boot is looking for a signed kernel so I have to learn how to do this. As far as current status, I have tested up to kernel 5.11.3 from Koji and still fails exactly the same. It takes me time as I have a regular job to do, but I hope to learn how to build the signage needed by Fedora to allow the kernel to boot when I build one. Any pointers greatly appreciated.

@Jerry - while cleaning out stuff before upgrading to f34, I found a gem - redhat actually puts the auto-generated keys at /usr/share/doc/kernel-keys/ (part of kernel-core) for out-of-tree kernel modules, I believe. So you can sign kernel modules you build for yourself. Hope this help. I used to sign with my own keys (a specific pair) which I pursuaded my secure boot bios to take, when I need to debug kernel modules.
