Right, Neha. We don't need that note in External mode as of now and would have to update the upgrade doc when we have 4.6.1.

Apart from that, I just went over the external mode upgrade section and it nowhere says that RHCS won't be upgraded and upgrade for it should be done separately.

But the note is same for external and Internal. So can't we keep it generic and add it in first release and people can follow it when 4.6.1 would release ?

Added now.. see comment#11

Thanks Erin

AFAIU, we are using https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tUrazc2eknRehXUXKyJjtcfEdb0sa-G8nzlk9CQVXj8/edit?usp=sharing to track changes for Bug 1882217 and Bug 1888134 .. right ?

So should I wait for providing and verifying the content till the content for other bug is also ready ?

Comment 16 Neha Berry 2020-11-10 13:15:20 UTC
Assigning to rachael as she is already working on Bug 1888134 for external mode upgrade. It can be verified along with the other bug

Thanks Rachael for taking this bug too

Hi Erin,

Regarding below statement in Verification Steps, would it be better to add it as a Note so that people do not miss it. Right now, without a step number/Note/Bold .. it is easily missable

```
To enable monitoring for the Object Gateway (RGW) and view the metrics in the Object Service dashboard, see Enabling monitoring for the Object Service dashboard.
```

Anything which points attention towards it is good for us!!

1.2.3. Enabling monitoring for the Object Service dashboard

a) How about we make this explicit "post upgrade" in the below statement ?

In order to view the Object Gateway (RGW) metrics in the Object Service dashboard in OpenShift Container Storage 4.6, monitoring must be enabled

to

e.g. - In order to view the Object Gateway (RGW) metrics in the Object Service dashboard in OpenShift Container Storage 4.6 post upgrade, monitoring must be enabled

b) Click Cancel.

--> better to state why we are clicking on Cancel. Maybe something like - Click Cancel as the Storage Cluster is already present/created.

c) Didn't we decide to add the script created by Anmol as CLI process ? Where did we plan to take them to KCS article ?
