Description Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski 2020-09-29 20:01:32 UTC
Description of problem:
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/firefox/c/85160fd5ada4c253df27ca0a6136ec6b53200135?branch=master adds BR: fdk-aac-free-devel, which is fine and Requires: fdk-aac-free, which is not fine, as it entirely defeats the purpose of having the full fdk-aac package in RPMFusion. The automatically generated dependency on libfdk-aac.so.2 is satisfiable by both fdk-aac-free from Fedora and fdk-aac from RPMFusion.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
81.0-7.fc32

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install fdk-aac (from rpmfusion-nonfree)
2. dnf remove fdk-aac-free
3. dnf update firefox-81.0-7.fc32

Actual results:
fdk-aac-free is pulled into the dnf transaction despite fdk-aac being installed already.

Expected results:
fdk-aac-free is not getting installed as long as fdk-aac is present.
