Description Brad Hards 2006-04-09 07:51:05 UTC
Description of problem:
opensc was recently split up into a number of components. Some of the add-ons
(such as the pkcs11 engine for openssl, and a library that it depends on) do
not appear to be packaged.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.10.1-3.fc5

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install opensc and opensc-devel
2. Inspect for presence of engine_pkcs11

Actual results:
Not found

Expected results:
Should be available.

Additional info:
Apart from the openssl engine, it may also be worth packaging the pam_pkcs11
and pam_p11 packages too.

As the addons are really separate upstream projects nowadays, bundling them in
the opensc package would not be a good idea. Instead, interested parties (for
example you) can submit packages and volunteer to maintain them, see the
developers section at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras

I'm not currently personally interested in these addons, but I added the
engine_pkcs11 and libp11 requests to http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/WishList

pam_pkcs11 is already under review, waiting for a new upstream version and
packager activity in bug 165899
