I found the RHEL-AV-8.4.0 support qemu-kiwi too:

It should be part of the AV-8.4.0 rebase we will run in Dec 9.
So no BZ will be needed (as we import patches from older AV versions on rebases).
Unless, of course, there's some change/problem with it.
