I will need this update for the upcoming hatch 1.0.0 release. I’m happy to offer a PR. If you’re interested, there are a few things I could do at the same time or as a follow-up: - Switch the Sphinx documentation to PDF, since Sphinx-generated HTML documentation has guidelines issues related to bundled web assets/JavaScript and fonts, as noted in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2006555 and the linked packaging list discussion. Or, drop the Sphinx documentation. - Migrate to pyproject-rpm-macros (“new guidelines”), simplifying the spec file. - See if I can use xvfb-run to allow running some of the tests that require a display. I don’t want to work on changes that you don’t want, so please let me know what you think of the above. Thanks!
I went ahead and offered a PR that does most of this, except switching to pyproject-rpm-macros. https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-pyperclip/pull-request/2
When possible, could one of the maintainers of this package (Haïkel or Ken) please review the linked PR, and comment on whether you would like the package ported to pyproject-rpm-macros? Thanks!
This is a polite ping to see if anything else is needed to review PR#2.
Friendly bump to get this taken care of :)
If the maintainers of this package (Haïkel and Ken) don’t have time to update it or review PR’s, please consider adding me as a co-maintainer (FAS music) so I can help out.
Please branch and build python-pyperclip in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain python-pyperclip in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS jonathanspw); please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-pyperclip/adduser
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
Ben, I've been given ownership of python-pyperclip. I've added you as a co-maintainer. I created 1.8.2-1 in rawhide to get us up to 1.8.2. If you'll rebase your PR then you should be able to merge it and push it as an update as the documentation improvements will be good.
FEDORA-2022-a52148195a has been submitted as an update to Fedora 36. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2022-a52148195a
