Description of problem: From the Xsession, if switch-user is invoked or if a switch to console mode is made, the original X session is lost. A new X Session greets when we go back. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora Core 5 2.6.15-2054 Smp How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login to X session 2. Switch to console mode {<ctrl>+<alt>+F[1-6]} 3. revert back to original session {<alt>+F7} Actual results: The login screen is displayed. The logged in session is lost. Expected results: Get back to the previous X session from where the switch was invoked Additional info: Machine is Dell OptiPlex GX270
The same thing happens when Switch User is invoked from a running X Session. A new login screen is displayed but there is no way to get back the previous one.
