Description Matthew Almond 2020-10-28 21:40:31 UTC
fsverity-utils is a dependency for rpm with fs-verity plugin. We're looking to expand our use/test this more so it'd be good to get this package available publicly.

Merging master into the epel8 branch is enough to make this build.

  $ git checkout epel8
  $ git merge master

I built it in Koji, here's the result: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=54440885

Happy to send a PR if that helps (though it's probably easier for the maintainers to push a merge like this.)

Comment 2 Filipe Brandenburger 2021-02-17 18:45:24 UTC
Colin, can you please take a look?

Alternatively, if you'd like to add me as a maintainer, I'd be happy to request a branch for EPEL and push it. My FAS is "filbranden".

Cheers!
Filipe

Hi, I added you as a collaborator, does that work?

Comment 4 Filipe Brandenburger 2021-02-19 22:54:38 UTC
Yes! Thanks Colin, I'll request the epel8 branch and push to it.

Cheers,
Filipe

Push is not working:

$ git push origin epel8
Enumerating objects: 4, done.
Counting objects: 100% (4/4), done.
Delta compression using up to 8 threads
Compressing objects: 100% (2/2), done.
Writing objects: 100% (2/2), 320 bytes | 320.00 KiB/s, done.
Total 2 (delta 1), reused 0 (delta 0), pack-reused 0
remote: Fall-through deny
remote: Denied push for ref 'refs/heads/epel8' for user 'filbranden'
remote: All changes have been rejected
To ssh://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/rpms/fsverity-utils
 ! [remote rejected] epel8 -> epel8 (pre-receive hook declined)
error: failed to push some refs to 'ssh://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/rpms/fsverity-utils'

I tried to look up why this was, found this issue https://pagure.io/pagure/issue/4956 which implies collaborators have access to specific branches... Can you double check that I will have access to the epel8 branch (or perhaps all branches starting with "epel", which would include playground and soon also epel9)?

Thanks!
Filipe
