Hello, Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok). Your package (python-discord) Fails To Install in Fedora 34: can't install python3-discord: - nothing provides (python3.9dist(aiohttp) < 3.7 with python3.9dist(aiohttp) >= 3.6) needed by python3-discord-1.5.1-1.fc34.noarch If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem. If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks. P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors. P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/rawhide-gating/multi-builds/ Thanks!
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 34 development cycle. Changing version to 34.
Have similar issue with Fedora 33 that has recently updated python3-aiohttp-3.6.2 to python3-aiohttp-3.7.4 making it incompatible with python3-discord 1.5.1 sudo dnf update Problem: package python3-discord-1.5.0-1.fc33.noarch requires (python3.9dist(aiohttp) < 3.7 with python3.9dist(aiohttp) >= 3.6), but none of the providers can be installed - cannot install both python3-aiohttp-3.7.4-1.fc33.x86_64 and python3-aiohttp-3.6.2-5.fc33.x86_64 - cannot install both python3-aiohttp-3.6.2-5.fc33.x86_64 and python3-aiohttp-3.7.4-1.fc33.x86_64 - cannot install the best update candidate for package python3-discord-1.5.0-1.fc33.noarch - cannot install the best update candidate for package python3-aiohttp-3.6.2-5.fc33.x86_64
This has been fixed in the upstream: https://github.com/Rapptz/discord.py/commit/7f3737fcc2fc32078b0904131adcaa75d5eda942. Can the package be updated? I tried to make a pull request myself but I'm not in the packagers group and I couldn't figure out how to upload to the lookaside cache.

(In reply to Miro Hrončok from comment #4) > Open the pull request without the upload and say in the intiial comment that > it is required before merging. I found that the f33 branch was already updated to 1.6.0 which includes the fix but the package hasn't been built for some reason. I made a PR to update to the latest version anyway.
