Description Waldirio M Pinheiro 2020-11-06 17:38:45 UTC
Description of problem:
This feature is to present easily to the customer all the duplicated entries on HBI. Currently, the customer can force to create multiple entries on HBI, as consequence, this will cause swatch to generate non accurate information.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
It's not possible to show only duplicated entries

Expected results:
Maybe a checkbox that will show/present only duplicated entries, on this way, the customer will be able to select the duplicated with old last_seen and then remove it.

@walderio M Pinheiro, the attachment shows systems with the same display_name but very likely not duplicate. If FQDNs are the same, then these systems must have different "provider_id", "insights_id", or "subscription_manager_id".

wpinheir This is something which might have to be handled on the UI side. Question many customers are asking for it?

Comment 9 Waldirio M Pinheiro 2022-03-17 00:22:13 UTC
Hello Arif,

Yes, I should say all the customers that I do troubleshooting or present HBI/Swatch, they ask for this, once this is something that is still happening.

If you want, I can assign all the cases on this BZ as well.

Thank you!
Waldirio

Thank you for your interest in Insights. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX.

If you have any concerns about this, please do not reopen. Instead, feel free to contact Christian Marineau. Thank you.
