I guess that is the problem discussed in https://groups.google.com/g/thg-dev/c/u4MDXSa4ta4/m/JDRs2C2hBQAJ :
python3-qt5-5.15.0-2 broke compatibility with python3-qscintilla-qt5-2.11.2-11 .

Fixed upstream in https://www.riverbankcomputing.com/static/Downloads/QScintilla/2.11.5/ChangeLog - worked around in Arch with https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/qscintilla&id=9f3a8a39a799bb400d146055e4cbf9f2d23b56b4 .

As a workaround, can you confirm that it works if (temporarily) moving .config/TortoiseHg/TortoiseHgQt.ini away?

The workaround seems to work. A new TortoiseHgQt.ini was created. When opening ax exising repo, I could commit changes

Thanx

Thanks.
It doesn't seem feasible to workaround in TortoiseHg.
I will reassign to qscintilla.
