Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Created redmine issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/32676 from this bug

Comment 3 Bryan Kearney 2021-08-19 12:03:47 UTC
Moving this bug to POST for triage into Satellite since the upstream issue https://projects.theforeman.org/issues/32676 has been resolved.

Comment 5 Peter Ondrejka 2022-01-04 09:46:49 UTC
There is a minor issue -- when the job name is longer the tooltip is displayed twice, both for table td and span (see attachment). It is a nitpick but I suppose it could get overly annoying with multiple long job names.

Comment 6 Marek Hulan 2022-01-12 10:24:59 UTC
The problem seems to be that tooltip is added for the <td class="ellipsis"> but also for the link itself there's another shortening mechanism thanks to the <table class="table table-bordered table-striped table-hover table-fixed">. The job name needs to be really long, ellipsis cuts it at shorter limit, the second mechanism shortens that only if it's longer.

We need to pick just one mechanism, in this we should probably drop the ellipsis.

Comment 7 Zach Huntington-Meath 2022-02-22 15:10:19 UTC
Hi y'all, so is there a new fix for this?

Comment 8 Adam Ruzicka 2022-02-22 16:14:18 UTC
There is now, I followed a wrong link from redmine when moving to post. I'll have a release out in a moment

Comment 9 Peter Ondrejka 2022-03-01 10:52:15 UTC
Verified on Satellite 7.0 sn 11, the rex status table is present on the dashboard by default, there is just one tooltip in case of long job names
