as per bug 1937638 let's deprecate in 4.4.6 and remove in 4.4.7
In 4.4.7 we should remove the vdsm product listing too (old versions are still going to be there though, but that's ok...)
(In reply to Michal Skrivanek from comment #2) > In 4.4.7 we should remove the vdsm product listing too (old versions are > still going to be there though, but that's ok...) Isn't it enough to drop it from VDSM at all? Or is there a plan to keep the hook packages in vdsm for usptream but don't ship it in RHV?
the hooks can remain upstream, not all of them work anyway
All referenced patches have been merged, can you please check this bug status?
Waiting for the documentation bug to be resolved.
Verified on - vdsm-4.40.70.3-1.el8ev.x86_64 - Updating from 4.4.6 vdsm > 4.4.7 vdsm will drop and remove the vmfex hook - If the vmfex hook installed on 4.4.7 and updating to another 4.4.7 the hook will be updated - If installing fresh 4.4.7 vdsm the vmfex hook won't be installed - The hook will still be available for installations if user choose to do so vdsm-hook-vmfex-dev.noarch : VM-FEX vNIC support for VDSM

(In reply to Michael Burman from comment #10) > - The hook will still be available for installations if user choose to do so > vdsm-hook-vmfex-dev.noarch : VM-FEX vNIC support for VDSM and that is not correct. it's supposed to be removed. older version will remain in CDN, but we should stop publishing new ones
