Comment 1 Todd 2020-12-02 21:34:24 UTC
I downgraded to wine-5.18-2.fc33.x86_6 and Approach is working fine again. Please Fix!

Comment 3 Todd 2020-12-05 21:15:02 UTC
Would you please consider holding off on updates to Wine until this is fixed? Or at least always keep the ability to downgrade to 5.18 in place until then?

Comment 4 Todd 2020-12-08 03:50:20 UTC
Did a full uninstall of Wine on my virtual Fedora 33 and then installed:

    winehq-staging-1:6.0.rc1-3.1.x86_64

from

    https://wiki.winehq.org/Fedora

Approach in not crashing any more. And boy does it run nicer (so far) than 5.xx.

6.0 is missing its launchers though (winecfg, regeditr, etc.). You have to crate them by hand.

Do we want to fix 5.22 or just go to 6.0?

Comment 10 Todd 2020-12-11 01:41:08 UTC
I installed wine-staging64-6.0.rc1-3.1.x86_64 on my host computer and have been running Approach all day without issue

Comment 11 Michael Cronenworth 2020-12-11 13:53:55 UTC
The 'wine-staging64' packages are not Fedora packages. If you wish to use Fedora packages you will need to remove the 'wine-staging64' packages and install 'wine' or 'wine-core'.

Comment 12 Todd 2020-12-11 20:44:11 UTC
Hi Michael,

I am aware of that. I needed Wine to work properly, and was asked to test 1.6rc1 by upstream, so I did. I posted this back only as feedback to let the Fedora side know a fix was on the way. And I see no reason to fix 5.22 now that 1.6rc1 is working. When staging 1.6 hits Fedora's repos, I will switch back to it. I prefer to only use Fedora's repo as I think Fedora's army of testers does a good job.
