Release v0.17.3 fixes an annoying bug, which affects most, if not all users of Xfce spin:

Scratch build for fedora 33, I didn't completely update the contact details in the changelog, hope that's ok.

Comment 6 Woi 2021-04-05 20:46:01 UTC
Thanks :)
Both packages (python3-pystray-0.17.3-1 python3-pystray-doc) installed fine. Now I wait for new updates for dnfdragora to report them.
But I expect it to just work, because I already changed notify_dbus.py manually at line 84.

Comment 7 Woi 2021-04-08 18:09:25 UTC
Hey Hannes,

it's working fine. Dnfdragora update message is shown for a few second and then disappears as expected.

Comment 8 hannes 2021-04-09 05:53:04 UTC
@ngompa13 would it be possible to get that update into fedora 34 pretty soon?

Comment 9 hannes 2021-04-18 08:52:08 UTC
Any update on this? This is really an annoyance for most Xfce users, who are using dnfdragora and I would love to get that super-easy fix into f34!

FEDORA-2021-5dde2d9953 has been pushed to the Fedora 35 stable repository.
If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report.

Comment 13 Woi 2021-05-08 10:57:30 UTC
I think this bug report shouldn't be closed, until packages for 33 and 34 are available or until Fedora 33 and 34 are end of life:
Fedora 35 release is 6 month away, while Fedora 33 and 34 (and 32) users are suffering.

What's the issue with package builds for Fedora 33 and 34? Can someone reopen this issue please? Or even better: give me directions on how to get the necessary rights to reopen it my self?

Hannes: Thank you for hanging in there

Comment 14 hannes 2021-05-09 07:43:07 UTC
I also posted to fedora-devel, which led to the creation of the fedora 35 build. But to be honest, this is quite embarrassing for fedora.

Comment 15 hannes 2021-05-15 11:32:12 UTC
It's fixed for f34, not sure if they are going to push it into f33.

Still not a great result, but kind of okish. Thanks Hannes.
