Suggestions for improvement:

Please remove it as it was hard to troubleshoot an OCP installation issue on OSP due to this misleading information.

In general, "publish: Internal" is not supported on any on-prem platform. It only works on AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud.

Comment 6 Fatima 2021-04-26 01:01:53 UTC
If this is true, then we have a couple of documentation pages to edit as "publish: Internal" exists for OSP as well.

Comment 7 Max Bridges 2021-04-26 13:17:14 UTC
@fshaikh In the OSP docs set? Do you know which pages?

The change that resolves this bug will remove/note "publish: Internal" across the entire OCP docs set.

Comment 8 Fatima 2021-04-27 06:19:42 UTC
By mentioning OSP I mean't OCP installation on OSP and not the actual OSP docs. Here is the doc link which I was referring to:

Hello all,

do you have any news from last update in April?
As the bug is already open since 2020, we should focus on the closure.
What we can do in order to close the bug/case ASAP?
Do you need any support or action to be done from my side as a PSM?

Feel free to contact me directly in case of need.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Currently, the documentation in https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.6/installing/installing_openstack/installing-openstack-installer-restricted.html#installation-configuration-parameters_installing-openstack-installer-restricted states that a Publishing value of Internal is not supported on non-cloud platforms. A warning follows that statement that states that a value of Internal will render clusters non-functional. Do you think that this is adequate?

Comment 11 Fatima 2021-06-28 09:45:43 UTC
Yes, that should work. Please let me confirm with the customer.

Thanks Max.

Comment 12 mhomolko@redhat.com 2021-06-28 11:32:40 UTC
