Description of problem: It seems since https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/cifs-utils/c/b87f12c2b6c1c909a62d4adbc6902d1047b08c72?branch=master, with the addition of smb2-quota, cifs-utils now pulls in Python. In Fedora CoreOS, we're trying to avoid shipping Python entirely to encourage containerizing user workloads and to keep the OS minimal. In a rawhide build, this package was identified as pulling Python back in. Would it be possible to split smb2-quota into a separate subpackage? We can help with that if there's agreement.
This could also be useful for other environments which want to keep their footprint minimal (e.g. Fedora IoT and containers).
PR would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
