Description of problem: With Fedora 33 I am having sound issues. No issues under 32, or any previous version of Fedora. I have a intel NUC attached to a Denon amp via HDMI, outputting multichannel 7.1 audio. If I pause anything outputting sound like a movie for example, it stops working, no sound. If I open setting and toggle the Configuration to any setting and back the sounds starts to work again. For example if is toggle from 5.1 to 7.1 and then unpause the media it works again. Turning the Denon amp off and back on also results in sound working. There seem to be others having this issue, I opened this thread: https://ask.fedoraproject.org/t/fedora-multi-channel-sound-issues-with-fedora-33/10652 Seems not to be related to the app playing the media as the same issues happens with Smplayer and Celluloid. If I remove the alsa-plugins-pulseaudio package as stated in the How to debug sound problems wiki page and reboot the problem goes away. I am still outputting via pulseaudio as I have the pulseaudio device selected. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Play a movie 2. Pause movie 3. Unpause Actual results: No sound. Expected results: Sound works. Additional info: I booted this device back to Fedora 32 and I could not get it to break. As soon as I went back to F33 problem is present. As stated above removing the alsa-plugins-pulseaudio package seems to fix it, even if I am still outputting via pulseaudio. I need to test for a longer period to see if it is really fixed. pulseaudio -k also fixes sound until it is paused again.
I have done some more testing and: On Kernel 5.8 no issues/problems. On kernel 5.9 or 5.10 the issue is present. This seem to be kernel issue on any version > 5.8.
