Description Vasiliy Glazov 2020-12-30 19:36:50 UTC
Please update this package to latest version because it cause problems with kmymoney package.

Comment 1 John Haiducek 2021-02-15 21:00:24 UTC
GnuCash is no longer able to download account information from USAA. Updating aqbanking package to at least 6.1.6 should fix this. See https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/OFX_Direct_Connect_Bank_Settings#USAA

Comment 2 Vasiliy Glazov 2021-02-16 08:59:12 UTC
Do you mean 6.2.6?

> Do you mean 6.2.6?

No, I meant 6.1.6. The wiki link in my earlier post says "In January 2021 USAA changed their authentication for OFX DirectConnect. In order to use it you need GnuCash 4.4 and AQBanking 6.1.6." There are newer versions of aqbanking available but 6.1.6 is reportedly the minimum required to connect to USAA.

Comment 4 Vasiliy Glazov 2021-02-16 14:35:03 UTC
"minimum required" 6.1.6.
Now 6.2.6 in rawhide. Can you check it works or not, please.

I don't see 6.2.6 in rawhide yet. Latest version I see in rawhide is 6.2.5:

$ sudo dnf --enablerepo=rawhide --releasever=33 list aqbanking
Last metadata expiration check: 0:10:09 ago on Tue Feb 16 10:01:27 2021.
Available Packages
aqbanking.i686 6.2.5-2.fc34 rawhide
aqbanking.x86_64 6.2.5-2.fc34 rawhide

With 6.2.5 it doesn't seem to work yet (it fails the same way that 6.1.4 did). I posted a message on the gnucash mailing list asking whether there might be a typo in the wiki.

Thanks, I installed aqbanking 6.2.6 from rawhide and was able to get OFX Direct Connect with USAA working in gnucash again.

Comment 8 John Haiducek 2021-02-26 03:29:39 UTC
aqbanking in rawhide has now been updated to 6.2.8, which seems not to work with the current version of gnucash. Is there a way to downgrade to the previous version?

Comment 9 Vasiliy Glazov 2021-02-26 07:57:30 UTC
Are you really use rawhide or just install this package to F33?
Try 6.2.9 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=62716523

I just installed aqbanking from rawhide, the rest of my system is F33 except for glibc which had to be upgraded to install aqbanking from rawhide.

With 6.2.9, GnuCash behaves the same way as with 6.2.8. Specifically, the menu items pertaining to online banking are gone. It appears that GnuCash checks the aqbanking version and offers online banking features only if a compatible version is installed. Which for GnuCash 4.4 appears to be 6.2.6 or older.

Sure. I've uploaded four attachments:

Gnucash 4.4, aqbanking 6.2.6:
- Attachment 1760037 [details] shows the "Online Banking Setup" menu item on the Tools menu
- Attachment 1760038 [details] shows the "Online Actions" submenu on the Actions menu

Gnucash 4.4, aqbanking 6.2.9:
- Attachment 1760040 [details] shows the Tools menu with the "Online Banking Setup" submenu missing
- Attachment 1760039 [details] shows the Actions menu with the "Online Actions" submenu missing

What you show is what I see when you install the new aqbanking without installing the corresponding gwenhywfar upgrade. Make sure you upgrade both components at once.

Thanks, I upgraded gwenhywfar to 5.6.0 and gnucash works with aqbanking 6.2.9 now.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 33 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 33 on 2021-11-30.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
Fedora 'version' of '33'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 33 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Fedora 33 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2021-11-30. Fedora 33 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
