Hmm, confusing. The explanation would be that the `self` pointer is invalid or NULL, but the object should be ref'ed in order for it to be kept alive long enough so that this cannot happen. Can you provide the console output? You should be able to find the corresponding messages in `journalctl --user` (possibly adding `-u app-gnome-org.gnome.NetworkDisplays-130836.scope` in addition will just make it appear, but not sure about that).
