it looks like it is because the collectd-libpodstats plugin sends data with that domain name. Even though that data is not shown on the Grafana dashboard.

I have 3 controllers,2 compute and  ceph node.
in the Grafana dashboard I see each node  twice with different name e.g. controller-0 and controller-0.redhat.local

Only one of them (x.redhat.local) shows data. If I select the second one no data appear.

It should be only one instance of each overcloud node in the list.
