Please release tor 4.4.6-1 for EPEL 8. The EPEL 8 version is not too old (4.3.7) but 4.4.6 was already pushed in latest Fedoras. I merged master, resolved conflicts and did a `fedpkg mockbuild` and it built just fine, so it should be easy to get this built and released. (BTW, now that there's no package.cfg in the `epel8` branch anymore, perhaps consider resetting the branch to match master, that way this doesn't need merges anymore, it can simply track the `master` branch...) Thanks! Filipe
FEDORA-EPEL-2021-fda4664c7f has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 8. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2021-fda4664c7f
I stayed on 0.4.3.7 for EL8 as it was intended to become the next LTS version afair, but this seems to be gone: https://gitlab.torproject.org/legacy/trac/-/wikis/org/teams/NetworkTeam/CoreTorReleases so i guess I'll jump. Note that 0.4.3.7 was released on the same day as 0.4.4.6 so actually it is the same age. ;) I intend to run a different cycle for EL than Fedora, the latter is much more latest greatest, while the former should be more stable. Also I do alpha and latest builds for all releases here: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/maha/
Thanks for the release and for the clarifications!
