SUMMARY Constant load (CPU activity) on krunner causing interface hangs. Looks to be WEB SHORTCUTS PLUGIN related because it does not occur anymore when I disable that plugin (I tested with all others). Just closing Krunner don't stop the problem, it only stops when krunner service is killed and reiniciated. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. keep all plugins active on krunner 2. write something in it, or open some document with it 3. close the opened aplication, close krunner OBSERVED RESULT Observe on ksysguard that krunner unit is conummig some cpu even all is done and closed. EXPECTED RESULT After krunner is closed, its unit should not consumme any cpu resources. How is web shortcuts plugin disabled?
Created attachment 1747801 [details] How I disabled the plugin (graphically)
(In reply to Neal Becker from comment #1) > How is web shortcuts plugin disabled? I attached a print from the system settings window where one can disable the plugin.
Not sure if is this recent update ( https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-ea19dabe82 or any other update on testing repo from the last four days), but today I re-enabled the web shortcuts plugin and until now the problem doesn't appears anymore. I'll continue monitoring krunner cpu usage for another two days to be sure the issue has really gone.
Bug fixed by the updates
