Description Robert Scheck 2021-01-10 16:33:59 UTC
Description of problem:
Please build lua-readline for EPEL 7. It will be a run-time dependency of Prosody 0.12 (once released).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lua-readline-2.7-1.el8

Actual results:
No lua-readline in EPEL 7.

Expected results:
lua-readline-2.7-1.el7 - or better ;-)

Additional info:
Please let me know if you are not interested in maintaining the package on EPEL 7 branch.

Comment 2 Michel Lind 2021-01-27 05:33:58 UTC
Hi Robert,

Thanks for this! I'm not using your pull request as is, since the macros we need are in lua-rpm-macros which is available on EPEL7, it's just not pulled in as a dependency by RHEL 7's lua-devel. Working on a combined patch and, once it scratch-builds fine on EL7, I'll do a branch request.

Happy to have you comaintain the package if you want, thanks for all the PRs.

Given the future dependency from prosody, you can add me as co-maintainer; FAS: robert - thanks!

Comment 5 Michel Lind 2021-01-28 02:05:46 UTC
You're a comaintainer now. Still waiting for the branch request for epel7.
