RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2021:4254 0 None None None 2021-11-09 18:42:34 UTC

Description Martin Kolman 2021-01-13 17:40:51 UTC
In RHEL 7 there was a RHV branded (but otherwise identical) help content available side by side with regular RHEL branded help content. Regular RHEL installs used teh RHEL content, RHV installs used the RHV content.

Going forward in RHEL 8, the installation guide that is used as source for the install time help content has been extensively refactored. One of the side effects of this is that rebranding the RHEL8 help content is no longer possible without additional work and maintenance.

This has been discussed with the RHV team and it has been agreed to just use the RHEL branded help content for RHEL 8 based RHV installations.

Achieving this is very simple and only changing one configuration file is needed.

There is even an upstream PR that can be backported to RHEL 8:
https://github.com/rhinstaller/anaconda/pull/3090

As the RHV team already has a hotfix in place it is sufficient to do this change in Anaconda in RHEL 8.5, so that the RHV team can drop the hotfix for 8.5.

Comment 8 Vladimír Slávik 2021-08-16 11:58:26 UTC
Using compose RHEL-8.5.0-20210812.n.0 with anaconda-33.16.5.4-1.el8, Anaconda displays help when instructed to load RHV configuration.
