Service Telemetry Framework 1.2 provides a new parameter to allow specification of the retention period for metrics storage in the metrics storage backend, Prometheus. The default value remains at 24h (24 hours) but you can edit the value in the ServiceTelemetry manifest through the backends.metrics.prometheus.storage.retention parameter.

Description Leif Madsen 2021-01-13 19:24:06 UTC
The retention period for Prometheus is statically set in an STF deployment to 24 hours. It should be possible for an administrator to set the Prometheus metrics retention period when deploying STF.

Comment 1 Leif Madsen 2021-01-25 15:28:50 UTC
Merged and in upstream stable-1.2 branch

Comment 2 Leif Madsen 2021-02-01 20:58:29 UTC
Moved back to ON_DEV due to issue in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1918781. Will require a re-spin.
