Description of problem:

SSSD debug log snip following message is observed in support case 02835160 following.

As per above error message, when "Failed to resolve server 'server.example.com': Error reading file" is observed it is not clear if the error is related to server entry not present in "/etc/hosts" file or there was other issues reading the file.  It would be helpful if the error message is more precise and the file name is displayed.
