Description of problem: Fails to install on Fedora 34 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 7.2.0-1.fc34 How reproducible: Try to install python3-pyface on Fedora 34 Steps to Reproduce: 1. dnf install python3-pyface 2. or, mock -r fedora-34-x86_64 -i python3-pyface Actual results: Error: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides python3.9dist(importlib-metadata) needed by python3-pyface-7.2.0-1.fc34.noarch - nothing provides python3.9dist(importlib-resources) >= 1.1 needed by python3-pyface-7.2.0-1.fc34.noarch Expected results: Package installs Additional info: Probably need to patch out these two requirements in pyface/__init__.py, as they are part of the standard library in Python 3.9. Consider asking upstream to conditionalize these on Python version.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 34 development cycle. Changing version to 34.
