Since Rust 1.50.0, rand tests are failing on x86_64: running 68 tests malloc(): corrupted top size [...] error: test failed, to rerun pass '--lib' Caused by: process didn't exit successfully: `/builddir/build/BUILD/rand-0.8.3/target/release/deps/rand-04576d6a4a608985` (signal: 6, SIGABRT: process abort signal) This is blocking the rand 0.8.3 update.
Pasting some info from #fedora-rust IRC channel: bisected in rustc to be caused by: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/commit/e261649593cf9c2707f7b30a61c46c4469c67ebb and fixed again by bumping to LLVM 12: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/commit/409920873cf8a95739a55dc5fe5adb05e1b4758e Kudos to jistone for the detective work.
