Description of problem:

The current version of mariadb-connector-odbc (3.0.7-1.el8) shipped with RHEL 8  has known bug (ODBC-294) in it.

The bug has been fixed in mariadb-connector-odbc version 3.1.11.

This has been recently added in fedora.

Cu wants this version of mariadb-connector-odbc in RHEL 8.x as well.

New upstream version of mariadb-connector-c 3.1.12 has been released.
We aim to update the package to this version now, instead of the 3.1.11
