Description Pavel Raiskup 2021-01-29 09:44:11 UTC
This is needed for setting filesystem ACLs using ansible,
and is very convenient.

Comment 1 Kevin Fenzi 2021-01-30 20:43:01 UTC
Well, it's needed if you are using ansible-base, but ansible (2.9.x/classic) has a acl module included no?

Or could you describe your use case some more?

Comment 2 Pavel Raiskup 2021-01-30 22:19:41 UTC
Weird, it didn't work for me for some reason, so I want to documentation:
https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/2.10/collections/ansible/posix/acl_module.html

And so I didn't experiment and decided to go with galaxy. Now I see
I have ansible-2.9.15-1.el8.noarch - and that indeed _should_ work.
Feel free to close this report, but long term it would really be nice
to have this module (when 2.10 goes to EL8).
