Description of problem: Installing the upstream release on OKD, in the VM import wizard I see RHV and VMware but no oVirt. See the attached screenshots. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 2.6.0 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. try to import a VM from oVirt 2. 3. Actual results: in the wizard I see only RHV Expected results: I'd like to see an explicit mention to oVirt, at lest if I deployed upstream binaries on OKD. Additional info:
Created attachment 1752082 [details] RHV without oVirt
This is important for upstream community adoption.
@Simone hi, Sorry for the layman questions: a - Is it just a replacing the strings, e.g. upstream will see "oVirt" while downstream will see "RHV" ? b - Do we need to add some special support for "oVirt" that is different from "RHV", e.g. do we need to add a third option "oVirt" on top of "RHV" and "VMWare" that will behave in a third way ?
(In reply to Yaacov Zamir from comment #3) > @Simone hi, > > Sorry for the layman questions: > a - Is it just a replacing the strings, e.g. upstream will see "oVirt" while > downstream will see "RHV" ? yes, it's just a "branding" issue. Even oVirt/RHV is fine.
verified on master, it shows 'oVirt/RHV' when the brand is OKD.
