Description Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski 2021-01-30 19:29:29 UTC
Latest upstream release: 19.00
Current version/release in rawhide: 4.6.5-26.fc33
URL: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/files/LZMA%20SDK/

Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a
stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/

More information about the service that created this bug can be found at:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring

Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging
changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your
responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still
correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added
upstream.

Based on the information from anitya:
https://release-monitoring.org/project/145824/

Also, please enable upstream release monitoring at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/lzma-sdk/ as it's disabled at the moment.

Retired, not used.

> Retired, not used.

Sorry, you're too concise for me. I'm not sure what you mean by that. The package doesn't seem to be retired. At least https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/lzma-sdk doesn't indicate it is. If you don't want to maintain this package, please simply orphan it.

Comment 3 Gwyn Ciesla 2021-02-03 22:41:16 UTC
Sorry, I ran fedpkg-retire but there may have been a mixup with the branch changes today. I've orphaned it.

Comment 4 Dominik 'Rathann' Mierzejewski 2021-02-09 10:56:33 UTC
It looks like you retired it, after all. This is irritating, because I specifically asked you to just orphan it (or update). There's no reason to retire as there's an active upstream. I've just filed an unretirement ticket (https://pagure.io/releng/issue/9993), which would be completely unnecessary if you had simply granted my request.

Comment 5 Gwyn Ciesla 2021-02-09 14:12:36 UTC
I retired it before you asked for simple orphaning. I'll be more patient in the future.
