Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Additional info:

Comment 1 Marek Hulan 2021-02-01 13:50:11 UTC
I think this is specific to the content pages, the setting is added from Katello. The description does not mention which pages support it though.

Comment 2 Justin Sherrill 2021-02-04 21:18:58 UTC
This is only affects the new Content view UI work that will be available in 7.0, its only available under the 'labs feature -> content views' which can be turned on via the 'lab_features' setting.

Do you want to validate that this setting works there? or close this as WONT_FIX? other suggestions?

Comment 7 Griffin Sullivan 2022-02-21 17:12:06 UTC
Verified on RHEL 8.5 and RHEL 7.9 Satellite 7.0 snap 9

Autosearch setting continuously searches for CV name / data while typing in the Search input.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Ensure Administer > Settings > Content > Autosearch is set to 'yes' (I think that's default)
  2. Create a cv

Expected results:
When typing the name of the cv in the search, the table is updated based off the search filter.

Actual results:
When typing the name of the cv in the search, the table is updated based off the search filter.

Comment 8 Griffin Sullivan 2022-02-21 17:51:12 UTC
Verified on RHEL 8.5 and RHEL 7.9 Satellite 7.0 snap 10

Autosearch setting continuously searches for CV name / data while typing in the Search input.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Ensure Administer > Settings > Content > Autosearch is set to 'yes' (I think that's default)
  2. Create a cv

Expected results:
When typing the name of the cv in the search, the table is updated based off the search filter.

Actual results:
When typing the name of the cv in the search, the table is updated based off the search filter.

NOTE:
Accidentally verified on snap 9. Although results were the same I wanted to double check. I also tested turning off autosave, and it worked as expected in both RHELs.
