Description Martin Perina 2021-02-01 13:59:33 UTC
As described in BZ1917409 RHV 4.4.5 includes ansible package within its own channels, so we need to remove channel ansible-2.9-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms from RHV 4.4 documentation and also mention in release notes, that customers should remove this channels on both RHV Manager and RHEL-H hosts when upgrading from RHV <= 4.4.4

Here are links to documentation where ansible-2.9-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms should be removed:

There might be other places which I missed, but in general ansible-2.9-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms should not be present in any RHV 4.4 documentation

Martin,

Excellent list. Thank you.

Just to be sure, in section 1.2.1 of the Release Notes, in table 1.1.,should I remove the 4th row, "Red Hat Ansible Engine," entirely or replace its contents with other values in the cells? If other values, what should they be? https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_virtualization/4.4/html/release_notes/sect-subscriptions#Red_Hat_Subscription_Manager_Subscriptions_and_Repositories

Yes, channel should be replaced also from this list, I've missed that during my doc evaluation.
Thanks

I mean, remove the whole line around Ansible Engine

The fixes were published 2 weeks before the planned release of version 4.4.5. It was decided to leave the changes in the documentation set rather than remove them now and reinsert them on the day the version was released.
