@gmeno what exactly are you asking me to do here? Maybe I'm confused, but my understanding is that there are no upstream source code changes required, it's solely a packaging issue: you simply need to have a recent-enough package of gperftools available, and pass the appropriate --with-tcmalloc configure option when building ceph. Shouldn't this best be handled by whoever builds the RPM package (whether we're talking about the product or Fedora here)?
