Comment 1 Mario Blättermann 2021-02-06 21:45:11 UTC
Note, this release adds three new languages: es (Spanish), it (Italian) and mk (Macedonian). Moreover, the psmisc package v23.4 now contains translated man pages (see also bug #1615362) which conflict which those from man-pages-l10n-4.2.0. Please update man-pages-l10n as soon as possible.

Comment 3 Mario Blättermann 2021-02-10 13:58:11 UTC
I've just released v4.9.2 because of the just released procps-ng-3.3.17. Once that package is available, it will raise file conflicts with man-pages-l10n-4.9.1. For 4.9.2 I've disabled the procps-ng .po files for all supported distributions except Debian Buster. Note, from 4.9.0pre1 on, Spanish (es) and Italian (it) translations are enabled and need to be installed in their respective subpackages.

Please update as soon as possible.

Comment 5 Mario Blättermann 2021-02-11 17:18:19 UTC
Don't forget (don't know about the importance): The new subpackage man-pages-es supersedes the old man-pages-es-1.55, no problem so far. But the latter should be retired, if this is not already happened anyway.

Comment 6 Mario Blättermann 2021-02-11 17:21:11 UTC
Ah, another problem... The version 4.9.2 already contains half of the man pages imported from man-pages-es-extra, so it will raise file conflicts with that package. Sorry, I wasn't aware that Fedora still ships the *-extra package...

Comment 7 Nikola Forró 2021-02-11 17:31:02 UTC
That shouldn't be a problem, I can obsolete man-pages-es-extra. Thanks for the heads up.

Domingo, are you ok with retiring both man-pages-es and man-pages-es-extra? I can make you a comaintainer of man-pages-l10n if you are interested.
