Description Inbar Rose 2021-02-14 09:59:16 UTC
Description of problem:

when running must-gather it produces a lot of logs which take up a lot of storage. on a typical cluster it can be upwards of 1GB after only a couple days of using this cluster. I would like to be able to collect logs only from the last X hours. (for storing as an artifact in CI/automation/test runs)

(specifically the kubelet logs for each node)

Actual results:

I get logs from the beginning of the cluster time.

Expected results:

I get logs only from the last X hours

moving to Openshift product.

@irose General-purpose must-gather doesn't go through Cluster Logging to collect logs. I'd suggest starting with https://github.com/openshift/must-gather and see which team (oc?) works on that.
