Bug 1931529

Summary: SNO: mentioning of 4 nodes in error message - Cluster network CIDR prefix 24 does not contain enough addresses for 4 hosts each one with 25 prefix (128 addresses)

Doc Text:
Cause: When calculating network per host, it was assumed that a cluster cannot be made up of less than three nodes. This assumption became incorrect after the introduction of single-node OpenShift (SNO). Consequence: A user could not use a network prefix that was sufficient for a single-node cluster. Fix: One node is now accepted as a valid cluster size for the network size calculation. Result: When creating a cluster, it is possible to specify a CIDR and network prefix that provide just enough addresses for a single-node cluster, even if they are not sufficient for three nodes.

Steps to reproduce:
Attempt to create an SNO cluster:
1. Cluster Network CIDR : 10.10.10.0/24
2. Set Cluster Network Host Prefix to 25
3. Try to validate the cluster.

Result:
Danger alert:Failed to update the cluster
Cluster network CIDR prefix 24 does not contain enough addresses for 4 hosts each one with 25 prefix (128 addresses)

Expected result:
we only have 1 node with SNO, why 4 nodes are mentioned.

Was able to set the "Cluster Network CIDR" to 10.10.10.0/24 and "Cluster Network Host Prefix" to 25.
The validation passed.
