Created attachment 1760470 [details] screenshot of the new noindex default html page with this logo included for reference Description of problem: Apache updated their logo back in 2016. We are updating the default webserver noindex page to include a new design with the new Fedora logo, and it seems like a good opportunity to also update the Apache logo. Here is information on the new Apache logo: https://www.apache.org/foundation/press/kit/#poweredby Here is the new logo, run thru optipng at its most aggressive setting and also at the minimum size requested by the ASF at 80x80 px: https://pagure.io/design/issue/raw/files/3a2d2884790ab051533afdd4aaedae3d724a4efa15f1d06df18ae0927a17941c-apache-poweredby.png The new logo also requires a trademark acknowledgement which is being provided by the corresponding html file in the fedora-logos package. It would be very nice to get this minor change into Fedora 34 as part of our effort to update the Fedora logo in F34. Those fedora-logos changes have been designed to work with or without this logo being updated in case this is not possible. Additional info: - The corresponding file in the httpd package is: /poweredby.png /usr/share/httpd/icons/apache_pb2.png - That file is configured in /etc/httpd/conf.d/welcome.conf which aliases it to /poweredby.png Attaching a screenshot of the new noindex default html page with this logo included for reference.
Hi Máirín, from my point of view I don't see any problem with accepting this change. I will update Apache logo in httpd package. Do you know what will be the version of system-logos-httpd RPM package, with new version of html page with trademark acknowledgement included? If I update httpd with newer logo it would be good to require system-logos-httpd which includes trademark acknowledgement.
Hi Luboš Uhliarik! Thank you so much! I haven't filed the bug yet for the system-logos-httpd change (which I believe comes from fedora-logos, is that right?) I'm trying to have the HTML finalized by tomm after which I'll file the bug. I can follow up here once that's ready.
Hi Máirín, once you have updated HTML page (included trademark acknowledgement) in fedora-logos package, please let me know - I will update logo in httpd right after that.
Hi Luboš! The update for fedora-logos should be available now!

(In reply to Máirín Duffy from comment #4) > Hi Luboš! > > The update for fedora-logos should be available now! Hi Máirín, I didn't realize, that system-logos-httpd have different version in Fedora and in RHEL. Is it possible to add to system-logos-httpd package something like: Provides: system-logos-httpd(logo-ng) or something similar? So I can set proper dependency in httpd package: Requires: system-logos-httpd(logo-ng)
FEDORA-2021-9c421e7999 has been pushed to the Fedora 34 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report.
Hi Luboš - Tom added this, see https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/fedora-logos/pull-request/6
