Your package (gnome-shell-extension-freon) Fails To Install in Fedora 35: can't install gnome-shell-extension-freon: - nothing provides gnome-shell < 3.39 needed by gnome-shell-extension-freon-2:43-3.fc35.noarch If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. Yes, I'm tracking this in Bug #1936204. I'd decided to set the dependencies to `gnome-shell < 3.39` so that Rawhide users couldn't install the extension while it's still broken. Hopefully the upstream updates soon.
There is a pull request upstream which purports to fix GNOME 40 compatibility. https://github.com/UshakovVasilii/gnome-shell-extension-freon/pull/197 If it is not merged today, or tomorrow, I will test and build it myself based on the contributor's commits, and push an update to the Freon package before the f34 final freeze.
GitHub user brianegan's pull request looked good to me, but still hasn't merged upstream yet, so I made an updated build of Freon based on the unmerged commit. The updated package is testing in Bodhi now. f34 -- https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-5857eb983c f35 -- https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-9e9ebbd89e Let me know if you see any remaining issues.
